the earth knows how to rot
life has a weird way of always changing.
rivers carve into the earth around them with unimaginable patience.
trees crack and fall in forests that don't listen.
vines crawl through the eye sockets of a rabbit's skull.
leaves lend themselves to the wind, left at the mercy of the cold.
meat morphs into asphalt, washed into nothingness by cruelty.
white teeth appear like headlights cutting through the night.
the blood of prey melts into the soft earth below.
the rabbit stood no chance.
for the earth reclaims what belongs to it.
