i wrote you into me
i see myself in the things i create.
whether it is by intention or by subconscious understanding, my troubled mind seeps through what i love.
their emotions are my own, my desire retold through fantasy. your soul existing quietly in the spaces between the exchanged words of lovers.
i see my fear, decorated in love stories and happy endings. laid out before me as a self-preserving comfort. i see how i create my idyllic world on dreamlike pages whilst i slowly seep in my stagnance.
should i find it in myself to claw these worlds into existence; these stories will become a shining memory i treasure, a glimmering reflection of glory i bathe in forevermore.
for my cliches are merely desire
a desire i pray will take me to the grave.
